Job Posting: Service Writer – CAM Motor Corp (Meineke Reno/Sparks)

CAM Motor Corporation, operating as Meineke Car Care in Reno and Sparks, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Service Writer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys interacting with customers, and is passionate about delivering world-famous car care.

Position Overview:

As a Service Writer, you will be the bridge between our customers and technicians. Your responsibilities will include checking customers in and out, preparing estimates, managing parts ordering, coordinating repair authorizations, and ensuring customers receive top-tier service throughout the process.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers and assess their automotive needs

  • Communicate with technicians to gather diagnostic information and estimate costs

  • Prepare repair estimates and gain customer approvals

  • Order necessary parts from approved vendors

  • Schedule and manage workflow to ensure timely repair and delivery

  • Maintain detailed records in our management systems (Tekmetric, Shop Genie, etc.)

  • Ensure quality control standards are met and that customers are informed every step of the way

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in automotive service writing or customer-facing roles preferred

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities

  • Familiarity with estimating systems (Mitchell, Alldata, etc.) and point-of-sale systems

  • A commitment to integrity, safety, and customer satisfaction

We are hiring for full-time and part-time positions. Saturdays may be required.
