Overview

We are seeking a Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have a high energy upbeat pleasant personality and be assisting our dental professionals in delivering high-quality services. This position requires being Certified in Dental X-rays, having a strong understanding of dental terminology, sterilization procedures, patient management, as well as the ability to work effectively in a attention to detail environment.

Duties

  • Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols and HIPAA regulations.
  • Manage sterilization of instruments and adhere to infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring they are clean, organized, and equipped with necessary instruments and materials.
  • Assist dentists during examinations.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records using PMS systems such as Open Dental.
  • Conduct patient intake by recording vital signs, medical history, and any concerns prior to treatment.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-operative care, and treatment plans.

Requirements

  • Certified X-Ray License
  • Some previous experience in a dental assisting position, with knowledge of general dentistry practices.
  • Familiarity with dental terminology, dental documentation.
  • Understanding of aseptic techniques, anatomy knowledge, and infection control measures is required.
  • Ability to perform chairside assisting duties efficiently while maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members are essential.

Pay: $ $27.00 per hour
