About the Opportunity
Our client, a dynamic and well-established CPA firm serving the Los Angeles and Orange County region, is seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager with deep expertise in partnerships and real estate taxation. This is a unique opportunity for a driven tax professional to join a collaborative and fast-paced environment, with a clear path to management.
This role is based in Woodland Hills, CA and is ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their tax career while playing a pivotal role in managing client relationships and delivering high-level advisory services.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare complex federal, state, and international tax returns for partnerships, corporations (S-corps and C-corps), LLCs, and trusts.
- Review financial records and income statements to identify tax-saving strategies and ensure accurate tax compliance.
- Assist in structuring tax strategies for real estate transactions, including income allocations, gain recognition, and foreign investment reporting.
- Conduct technical research and support ad hoc projects related to federal, multi-state, and international tax matters.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver high-value insights and tax planning solutions.
- Help mentor junior staff and support the overall growth of the tax practice.
Qualifications
- 2–6+ years of public accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on partnership and/or real estate taxation.
- CPA certification is required (or in active pursuit of licensure).
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required; Master's in Taxation preferred but not mandatory.
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and provide strategic tax planning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong attention to detail.
- Experience with multi-tiered partnerships, international tax, and complex compliance matters is a strong plus.
