Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to support our production operations by performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, automation, and control systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience diagnosing electrical and control issues in automated machinery and working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems in a manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and automation systems for fabrication and production equipment (press brakes, lasers, welders, conveyors, etc.).
  • Diagnose and repair control circuits, PLC-based systems, sensors, motors, and drives.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and update equipment records.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and maintenance teams to resolve cross-functional equipment issues.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic control circuits.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machines and automation systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards, lockout/tagout, and electrical codes.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in Electrical or Industrial Maintenance preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance, preferably in a sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, control systems, PLCs, and automation.
  • Familiar with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Working knowledge of safety procedures and NFPA/NEC codes.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.

Working Conditions

  • Occasional exposure to loud sounds/noise levels and certain contaminants in warehouse.
  • Requires safety equipment (glasses, gloves, helmets, hearing protection).

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
