Staff Accountant
Location - Remote in the United States, Eastern Time Preferred

The Role

The Staff Accountant will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. You'll own balance sheet reconciliations, support month-end close, and assist with audit preparation. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, is comfortable with technology, and is eager to grow in a modern SaaS finance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own month-end close processes for assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Prepare and review monthly analytics and KPIs to identify trends, errors or other matters that require communication to, and potential action from, cross-functional teams in the business.
  • Partner with FP&A, Operations, and other departments to ensure accurate accruals and expense allocations.
  • Support external audits by preparing PBCs and responding to auditor requests.
  • Help streamline accounting workflows and improve automation in systems such as NetSuite, Concur, Navan and others.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal controls and accounting procedures.
  • Assist in ad hoc projects, special analyses, and systems integrations as the business evolves.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a SaaS, cybersecurity, or technology environment.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and month-end close processes.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite, Intacct or Oracle ERP strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations) and comfort working with large data sets.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving organization.
  • CPA or progress toward CPA certification a plus.
