Position Overview:

Our
LNG client
is seeking a
Field Safety Technician
to actively support and drive Safety and Health initiatives in the field. This role will provide hands-on engagement with field personnel, ensuring compliance with safety programs, promoting best practices, and fostering a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the LNG client Safety and Health Supervisor.
  • Serve as a visible safety leader in the field, coaching and mentoring employees and contractors.
  • Interface with staff across all departments, including client employees, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Assist in implementing and executing SSH&E programs, including reviewing start work checks, encouraging last-minute risk assessments, and leading toolbox talks.
  • Conduct hazard identification walks and follow up on resolution of findings.
  • Perform safety walks to address key areas of concern in the field.
  • Participate in incident investigations as requested.
  • Promote and administer site recognition and rewards programs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Safety-related role within the Oil & Gas industry (LNG experience is a plus).
  • Associate's degree or equivalent field experience in Occupational Safety and Health.
  • OSHA 30 & OSHA 510 certification or higher safety and health training.
  • Experience with lifting and rigging, crane operations, confined space, and working at heights.
  • Proficiency in work permitting for elevated work, crane lifts, confined space, excavation, LOTO, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to speak confidently to large groups.

Physical Requirements / Conditions:

  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Extensive walking, stair, and ladder climbing across diverse work environments.
  • Ability to work in potentially stressful environments.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment, including FRC, hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves, and other protective equipment.
  • Must have TWIC, state-issued driver's license, and reliable transportation.
  • Drug/alcohol-free workplace with mandatory pre-employment and random drug testing.

Preferred Qualifications / Additional Notes:

  • LNG field safety experience is a plus.
  • Military experience is considered a plus.
  • Emergency Response Team, Firefighter, or Police experience does not translate into this role.
