Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Extraction Technician to join our cannabis processing team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with hydrocarbon (butane), ethanol, and solventless extraction methods. This role is responsible for operating extraction equipment, maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards, and ensuring efficient processing of raw cannabis materials into refined products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor extraction equipment (BHO, ethanol recovery, rosin presses, etc.) in a safe and compliant manner
  • Perform pre-processing tasks including biomass preparation, weighing, and staging
  • Follow all SOPs and safety protocols for handling flammable solvents and gases (butane, ethanol, etc.)
  • Maintain cleanliness, calibration, and functionality of lab equipment
  • Record and track extraction data (batch logs, yields, potency data, etc.)
  • Assist in post-processing steps such as winterization, filtration, decarboxylation, and distillation
  • Monitor pressure, temperature, and other critical parameters during extraction
  • Participate in R&D efforts to improve processes and product quality
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance to ensure all extractions meet regulatory and internal standards

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of cannabis extraction experience preferred
  • Familiarity with BHO and ethanol systems; solventless extraction a strong plus
  • Knowledge of C1D1/C1D2 environments and compliance best practices
  • Understanding of cannabis plant material and extraction science
  • Comfortable working with flammable and pressurized materials
  • High attention to detail and excellent recordkeeping skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Must be 21+ and able to pass a background check per state requirements

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with equipment such as closed-loop extractors, centrifuges, vacuum ovens, and rotovaps
  • GMP or ISO 9001 lab experience
  • METRC or seed-to-sale software knowledge
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification a plus

Compensation: $18.00 Full time / Training $16.00
