The Detroit Quick Response Team (QRT) is responsible for responding to all non-fatal overdoses by providing immediate outreach at the doors of individuals who have recently experienced an overdose. In addition to direct outreach, the team also responds to hospital referrals and conducts proactive community outreach efforts.

Individuals applying for this role should be comfortable engaging with people and families impacted by substance use disorder. Outreach activities will include engagement with individuals experiencing homelessness and entering homes as needed to connect individuals to harm reduction, recovery, and support services. • Conduct follow-up visits to support ongoing connection to care.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary outreach team.
  • Utilize trauma-informed care and person-centered engagement strategies.
