Family Medicine Physician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Medicine Physician to join our healthcare team in southwest Detroit also known as Mexican town. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages, focusing on preventive health, diagnosis, and treatment of various medical conditions. This role requires a strong commitment to patient service and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to diagnose and treat medical conditions.
- Manage acute and chronic illnesses, providing ongoing care for patients.
- Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for accurate documentation and patient management.
- Collaborate with specialists in areas such as cardiology, endocrinology, and gastroenterology for comprehensive patient care.
- Perform procedures including suturing, IV infusion, and airway management as needed.
- Provide health coaching and education to patients regarding lifestyle changes, disease prevention, and management.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives and stay updated on advancements in family medicine.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient records.
- Engage in community outreach programs to promote public health awareness.
Qualifications
- Medical degree from an accredited institution with board certification in Family Medicine or related specialty.
- Proficiency in EHR systems; experience with Epic is a plus.
- Strong background in primary care with experience in outpatient settings.
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and diagnostic evaluations.
- Ability to perform basic life support and advanced cardiac life support as required.
- Experience in managing diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, and those requiring critical care.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, coding (CPT/ICD), and documentation standards.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care. Candidates with additional skills in areas such as psychiatry, dermatology, maternal-fetal medicine, or interventional radiology will be considered favorably. Experience in telehealth services is also beneficial. We encourage applicants who are committed to continuous learning and professional development within the field of family medicine.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $110, $250,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
