Position Overview:
The primary responsibilities of this position will focus on the repair, maintenance and upkeep of our site operation. This position will be responsible to perform both simple and complex repairs of building systems (facilities Mech, Electrical and basic HVAC) and other maintenance projects. Technicians must work on preventative maintenance projects while balancing facility repairs on a priority basis. Proper maintenance of facility and some peripheral equipment will be needed to achieve timely delivery of our products.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Promptly and professionally complete maintenance service requests across multiple trades (e.g., electrical, plumbing, HVAC-minor…)
- Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical issues on facility as well as other building systems.
- Consults with department leaders regarding repair scheduling
- Follows up on and studies recurring failures to find solutions.
- Initiates immediate communication to supervisor when; a problem has no immediate solution, when an emergency breakdown requires more than four hours to repair.
- Makes electrical repairs on facilities equipment.
- Support preventative maintenance program.
- Performs safety measures in the design and installation of equipment.
- Understands company safety policy. Performs work to ensure procedures are within safety and governmental compliance.
- Informs co-workers of precautions and equipment. Trains others in the use of protective equipment when required.
- Provide backup assistance for technicians / electricians in their daily tasks as requested.
- Support some off-shift work as the need arises.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Mandatory Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), four plus years of relevant industry experience or 520 hours as an Imagine temporary employee along with manager's approval to hire full-time
- Basic computer skills including email, basic mouse, keyboard, and menu navigation
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and measurement
- Ability to communicate/understand basic written and verbal instructions
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience performing basic preventative maintenance on various equipment.
- 3+ years of experience working in a fast paced, manufacturing environment.
- Electrical Certification
- Industrial or residential Certifications, i.e., Refrigeration etc.
- Specialized training in plumbing and electrical fundamentals (at least 2 years)
- Extensive knowledge of all production processes, activities, equipment, materials, products and personnel.
- Machine shop fundamentals: welding, milling, lathes, precision measurement tools etc.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand 75% of the time.
- Must be able to squat, stoop, kneel, and bend 50% of the time.
- Must be able to climb and work from extension and step ladders when needed.
- Frequent walking
- Ability to lift, pull, push up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to visually inspect all work for defects.
- Manual dexterity for repetitive work
Pay Range: USD $ USD $28.50 /Yr. Pay Statement:
The national pay range for this role is listed above. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
