JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a strategic and technically savvy Product Manager to lead the deployment, adoption, and optimization of Caterpillar's VisionLink platform across mixed fleets. This role will champion the use of telematics and cloud-based equipment management to drive uptime, utilization, and cost efficiency for our customers.
COMPETENCIES:
- Fleet Management Strategy: Oversee implementation of VisionLink across Cat and non-Cat assets, ensuring seamless integration and centralized fleet visibility.
- Telematics Data Utilization: Translate raw machine data into actionable insights to support customer decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Maintenance Optimization: Monitor equipment health, fault codes, and inspection schedules to reduce unplanned downtime and improve service planning.
- Utilization Analysis: Identify underutilized assets and recommend deployment strategies based on performance metrics such as idle time and working hours.
- Task Coordination: Use VisionLink's collaboration tools to manage issue resolution, assign tasks, and track progress across teams.
- Cost Control: Analyze fuel consumption, operating hours, and maintenance trends to uncover inefficiencies and reduce owning and operating costs.
- Safety & Security Oversight: Implement geofencing and remote disable features to enhance jobsite security and prevent unauthorized equipment use.
- Digital Integration: Ensure smooth interoperability with Cat Inspect, , and other digital platforms to streamline workflows.
- Productivity Insights: Support VisionLink Productivity deployments to capture payload, cycle times, and material movement for production planning.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience in fleet management, product support, or telematics solutions.
- Strong understanding of heavy equipment operations and jobsite workflows.
- Experience with VisionLink or similar fleet management platforms.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
- Familiarity with S.O.S℠ fluid analysis and inspection protocols.
- Experience working with mixed fleets and OEM integrations.
- Ability to train and support internal teams and customers on digital tools.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible. Some travel may be required.
