Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

NBCUniversal's Enterprise Product Team builds products that provide essential capabilities to organizations throughout NBCUniversal. The team leverages deep relationships with our business engagement and engineering counterparts to build cohesive, end-to-end solutions for their clients or users. The product portfolio is aligned around critical NBCU functions such as Content/Title Management, Data & Analytics, Scheduling & Distribution, and Content Sales.

As a part of the Product team, you will be responsible for several products in your department.  You will be in constant communication with clients on anything product related, including development progress, deliverables, and timelines. You will lead grooming sessions, and execute product demos, and walkthroughs.  You are an expert in your area's product features, capabilities, and functionality.  You will be a consultant on new multi-product initiatives or programs.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Shape the product's evolution by managing the feature roadmap and prioritizing impactful capabilities.
  • Bridge the gap between teams and stakeholders, translating requirements into well-documented, high-value product features.
  • Lead dynamic grooming sessions to keep the backlog fresh, organized, and filled with clearly defined features and stories.
  • Ensure precision and clarity by fully documenting product features in JIRA, with measurable acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate across teams and technical leaders to identify the best solutions that drive client success.
  • Adapt and innovate by taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Define and own overall product vision, strategy, and success metrics for key initiatives
  • Analyze and document complex business requirements and processes; constructs conceptual data and process models; develop business requirements
  • Additional duties as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant work experience in the technology or media industry
  • Minimum 1+ years' experience in a role demonstrating strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills
  • Minimum 1+ years' experience in a role exhibiting excellent written and oral communications, effective interpersonal skills, project management, and strong formal presentation abilities
  • Expertise in the SDLC process, with a focus on scoping, iteration planning, user story and acceptance criteria writing, rollout management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Expertise with CRM platforms and data modeling (specifically Salesforce)
  • Experience in Film / Television, Media, Technology, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of direct client engagement experience
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Experience with using Jira or a similar system to track and maintain feature requirements and development progress
  • Natural problem solver, who is adaptable in a fast-paced environment and is highly collaborative

Remote Workers: This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, most commonly an employee's residence.
