Job Description

The Walk Bridge Replacement Project in Norwalk, Connecticut, is a major infrastructure initiative focused on replacing the aging Norwalk River Railroad Bridge, commonly known as the WALK Bridge. This bridge, a crucial component of the Northeast Corridor rail network, has been in service for over 128 years and plays a vital role in supporting both commuter and Amtrak operations. The project entails building a modern multi-span bridge with dual lift spans to improve reliability and operational efficiency. Overseen by the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT), the initiative also includes upgrades to surrounding infrastructure such as embankments, retaining walls, and signal systems. Completion is anticipated by 2030, reflecting the project's complexity and scale.
