Be our next Tampa Design Lead Engineer 
Your work environment at EXP In this role, you will be a part of the Civil team for Highway and Transportation projects based in Central Florida.
EXP is currently seeking a talented Civil Design Engineer for central Florida and the southeastern US market. The candidate will learn and perform diversified civil engineering work under direct supervision of a senior civil engineer. Duties include engineering design of highways, freeways, local streets and drainage systems all in accordance with the FDOT and local design criteria and codes. Duties also include preparation of construction plans utilizing MicroStation and AutoCAD Civil 3D Software and various specialized civil engineering design programs. Miscellaneous duties include working with construction specifications and estimating quantities and costs and assisting in the preparation of proposals. Candidate must be able to work within a team environment and have good communication skills.
What a day at EXP has in store for you · Assist with the preparation and modification of various engineering documents including reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates and design plans for projects using engineering and design software and equipment.   · Perform analysis and design calculations according to the applicable design codes; use computer programs as appropriate   · Prepare alternative design solutions and conceptual options · Develop solutions to a wide range of technical problems   · Must be willing to work in the field as necessary   · Perform other duties as needed   What your experience looks like · Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required plus a minimum of 15 years of related experience in design, rendering and resolving technical issues, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
· Knowledgeable with CADD programs such as MicroStation, Open Roads Designer and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
· Knowledgeable with 3D Modeling desirable but not required.
· Knowledgeable in highway design and transportation engineering.
· FDOT experience preferred and experience in other Southeastern States desirable.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy with an emphasis on quality work products
· Must be willing to work outside in good and inclement weather
· Demonstrated ability to work in a team.
· Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
· Active industry participation in professional societies at local and State level a plus.
· Basic knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel.

· Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred.
