Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Mobile Neurological Testing Assistant, combining the vital roles of a Medical Assistant and Driver to deliver exceptional neurological assessments directly to patients in outpatient, inpatient, or specialized care settings. This energetic position offers the opportunity to support cutting-edge neurological diagnostics while ensuring patient comfort and safety. You will be responsible for preparing patients, conducting tests, and safely transporting equipment and personnel between locations. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help advance patient care in a fast-paced, innovative environment dedicated to improving neurological health outcomes.

Duties

  • Assist with patient intake by verifying identity, reviewing medical history, and explaining testing procedures clearly and compassionately.
  • Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, respiration, and temperature to ensure patient readiness for testing.
  • Prepare patients for neurological assessments by positioning them appropriately and explaining test steps to alleviate anxiety.
  • Conduct specialized neurological tests including motor response, reflexes, coordination, gait analysis, and other physiological assessments using advanced equipment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of test results within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring clarity and compliance with medical standards.
  • Safely operate and transport diagnostic equipment, supplies, and personnel between clinics.
  • Support administrative tasks including appointment scheduling, ICD coding for diagnoses, and updating patient records efficiently.
  • Respond promptly to patient needs during testing sessions to enhance comfort and cooperation.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to neurology and hospital medicine.
  • Experience working in outpatient clinics, hospital environments—including Level II trauma centers—and emergency settings such as urgent care.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for documentation and data management.
  • Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and support intake processes efficiently.
  • Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach tailored to diverse populations including geriatrics or patients in medical-surgical units.
  • Experience operating medical equipment used in neurology testing or related fields such as emergency medicine or outpatient diagnostics.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience transporting patients or medical supplies safely across various healthcare facilities.

Pay: $ $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
