About the Role

Join a leading commercial entrance solutions company specializing in the installation and service of overhead doors, high-speed doors, loading dock equipment, and industrial entrance systems. We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Technician who knows their craft and is ready to take ownership of complex projects and guide a crew. This is a hands-on, problem-solving role within a supportive, growth-minded team.

What You'll Do

  • Commercial Service & Installation: Handle complex installs, preventative maintenance, and service calls for commercial overhead doors and dock equipment (levelers, seals, restraints).
  • Technical Leadership: Serve as the go-to technical leader for the crew, setting the pace, sharing knowledge, and ensuring quality and efficiency standards are met.
  • Fabrication & Repair (MUST HAVE): Perform on-site repairs and modifications that require welding expertise to service and install industrial doors and dock hardware.
  • Logistics & Safety: Keep projects running smoothly, manage material installation, and ensure all fieldwork is executed safely and efficiently.
  • Work Location: This is a field-based role with regular attendance required at the new office location in the Pittsburgh area.

Required Qualifications

  • Industry Experience: Proven experience as a commercial/industrial technician (overhead doors, dock equipment, or related mechanical field is ideal).
  • Welding Expertise: Proven experience in welding is a critical requirement for this position.
  • Mechanical & Electrical Aptitude: Strong proficiency in mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting needed for industrial door and dock operators.
  • Leadership: A natural leader with a problem-solver mindset who stays cool under pressure and is safety-focused and dependable.
  • Logistics: Willingness to travel to various client sites throughout the assigned territory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
