We are committed to supporting your success in both your professional and personal lives.Position Overview:Qinetiq US is seeking a Senior Project Manager to provide senior level program and project management support to the office of the USD(R&E) Assistant Secretary of Defense (ASD) for Mission Capabilities (MC). Specifically, this position will provide direct support to the SES III level Principal Deputy (PD) for the PDASD for MC by providing advice and council on both internal and external issues of relevance to the organization, specifically the FYDP budget and Congressional budget exhibits. This position will provide senior level guidance and action officer support to the PD by developing and maintaining work products that support management decision making, strategy development, initiative definition, action tracking and monitoring, meeting and workshop planning and execution, and international engagements. The candidate must be skilled at interfacing, communicating, collaborating with government personnel ranging from action officer to senior leader levels, including both civilian and military government employees.Responsibilities:Serve as a strategic advisor to the PD and provide oversight and recommendations on ASD MC projects and initiatives and how they integrate within the larger R&E organization.Anticipate, monitor, and proactively engage with other R&E personnel on behalf of the PD on key projects and initiatives that require additional attention and support.Serve as a trusted advisor and action officer to provide actionable advice to senior officials within R&E; support the coordination and collaboration within the PDASD for MC and other internal and external stakeholders.Assist in communicating sensitive messages with both tact and actionable impact (e.g., written and verbal) such as reports, PowerPoint presentations, position papers, etc.Work behind the scenes to assist in defining work requirements and project plans and help determine how senior leaders need to engage to support the success of applicable projects and initiatives.Serve as the de facto project lead for longer term engagements and associated special projects.Review and develop Congressional budget exhibits as needed.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree10 years' experienceTS clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a SCI clearance,#qinetiqclearedjobDoD or Intel experiencePreferred Qualifications:TS/SCI clearance preferredExperience in project management, operational management, strategy development and planning, communication, executive decision support.Previous use of systems such as CATMS, TMT, and other workflow management systems.Stakeholder management and communications experience.Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects and tasks and deliver high-quality deliverables.Ability to assess urgent work assignments and quickly determine optimal courses of action.Experience in Office of the Secretary of Defense, specifically the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering, Joint or DoD staffs, preferably with Plans or Operations backgrounds (G/J-3/5/7).Company EEO Statement:Accessibility/Accommodation:If because of a medical condition or disability you need a reasonable accommodation for any part of the employment process, please send an e-mail to or call Opt. 4 and let us know the nature of your request and contact information.QinetiQ US is an Equal Opportunity employer.
