Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled asphalt laborer and skilled Equipment Operator to join our asphalt paving team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery and equipment to support asphalt paving construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met. This role requires a strong understanding of asphalt site operations and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.

Duties

  • Operate heavy equipment including skI'd steer, roller, graders and dump trucks to perform earthmoving, grading, and material handling tasks.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
  • Assist with paving operations and other construction activities as needed.
  • Support utility locating and site preparation tasks to facilitate project progress.
  • Follow safety protocols and communicate effectively with team members to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Document equipment usage and report any issues or repairs required.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment listed above.
  • Knowledge of asphalt construction site procedures, safety standards, and utility locating techniques.
  • Prior experience in paving or general construction is highly desirable.
  • Valid certifications or licenses related to heavy equipment operation are a plus.
  • Construction site experience is essential for success in this role.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials as required. This position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced equipment operators looking to contribute their skills to impactful projects within the construction industry.
