Job Overview

To meet restaurant goals, the General Manager doesn't work alone. He or she leads a team of Department Managers that has specific responsibilities in the restaurant. This means helping the Department Managers to set their own goals, following up on their progress, and providing coaching and direction to improve their departments. By improving the Departments, the restaurant improves

The General Manager may also be responsible for hiring and developing Department and Shift Managers to make sure that the restaurant has the right team to lead into the future.

Duties

  • Manage daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and quality service.
  • Supervise and train staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and customer service.
  • Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.
  • Utilize POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) for cash handling and transaction processing.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards.
  • Develop staff schedules, manage shifts, and ensure adequate staffing levels during peak times.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in budgeting and financial planning to optimize restaurant profitability.
  • Implement training and development programs for staff to improve skills and performance.
  • Collaborate with kitchen management to maintain food production quality and presentation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60, $80,000.00 per year
