Overview

True Story Media is a faith-driven storytelling company dedicated to sharing powerful stories of recovery, redemption, and transformation through podcasts, books, speaking engagements, and multimedia production. We are seeking a motivated, mission-minded Sales Representative to help expand our reach by booking speaking engagements, securing podcast sponsors, and generating bulk book sales.

This is a high-impact role where every connection you make directly supports our mission to bring hope, healing, and inspiration to people across the country.

This position is commission-based, ideal for someone hungry, self-motivated, and excited to sell a product that truly changes lives.

Key Responsibilities

Speaking Engagement Sales

  • Identify and contact schools, churches, recovery centers, nonprofits, prisons, veterans organizations, and corporate groups.
  • Promote Brandon Couch as a keynote speaker and secure paid speaking opportunities.
  • Follow established call scripts and outreach sequences.

Podcast Sponsorship Sales

  • Generate leads and close monthly sponsorship deals for The Recovery Couch podcast.
  • Present sponsorship packages, benefits, and pricing options.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with sponsors.

Book Sales

  • Secure bulk orders for Step 4: A Journey Through Addiction from organizations, churches, courts, treatment centers, and bookstores.
  • Promote book bundles for events and speaking engagements.

Lead Generation & Outreach

  • Make daily outbound calls, emails, and follow-ups.
  • Manage and track prospects using spreadsheets/CRM tools.
  • Develop new leads through networking, referrals, and research.

Relationship Building

  • Maintain a positive, professional brand image for True Story Media.
  • Represent the company's mission and values in every conversation.
  • Build partnerships within Ohio and expand into national markets.

Reporting & Communication

  • Provide weekly updates on leads, conversations, and closed deals.
  • Work closely with the founder to align outreach with brand goals.
  • Collaborate on improving scripts, sales materials, and strategy.

Requirements

Must-Have

  • Strong communication skills, especially on the phone
  • Comfortable with outbound cold calls and follow-ups
  • Motivated by commission-based income
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Professional, ethical, and mission-minded
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
  • Passion for recovery, ministry, storytelling, or community impact

Strongly Preferred

  • Sales experience (phone sales, nonprofit outreach, sponsorship sales, or speaking industry experience a plus)
  • Knowledge of addiction recovery, faith-based organizations, or community programs
  • Connections within Ohio's schools, churches, courts, veterans groups, or treatment centers
  • Familiarity with spreadsheets or CRM tools

Compensation

  • Commission-Based Role
  • 20–30% commission on speaking engagements
  • 20% commission on sponsorships
  • 10% commission on bulk book orders
  • Performance bonuses for major contracts or high-volume months

High performers will have opportunities to grow with the company as True Story Media expands into film, media production, and national touring.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $46, $90,076.56 per year
