Position Summary
Aging Well Homecare, LLC is seeking a highly capable Director of Operations / Agency Director to lead and scale our Indiana-based Attendant Care / Personal Services Agency. This role is responsible for full operational oversight, regulatory compliance, staff recruitment and retention, client growth, quality assurance, and financial performance.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a proven healthcare operator who can build structure, stabilize staffing, and grow census while maintaining compliance with Indiana Department of Health (IDOH) requirements and Indiana Medicaid (IHCP) standards.
A performance-based bonus will be awarded after 12 months of successful build-out and operational benchmarks are met.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesAgency Leadership & Operations
- Provide day-to-day operational leadership for the Attendant Care agency
- Implement and maintain all required IDOH Personal Services Agency policies, procedures, and documentation
- Ensure the agency operates in full compliance with Indiana Code (IC and all applicable state and Medicaid requirements
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for agency performance and regulatory readiness
Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Maintain survey readiness at all times
- Oversee incident management, investigations, and corrective action plans
- Ensure documentation standards are met for all client records and personnel files
- Implement and manage a quality assurance program, including audits and performance tracking
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, client rights, and confidentiality requirements
Staffing, Recruitment & Retention
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain direct care staff and supervisory personnel
- Ensure all staff meet training, competency, and background check requirements
- Develop and manage staffing schedules, coverage plans, and on-call processes
- Address call-outs, corrective action, coaching, and performance management
- Build a positive, accountable culture focused on quality care and reliability
Client Intake & Service Delivery
- Oversee intake, eligibility verification, service planning, and client onboarding
- Ensure appropriate staffing assignments and continuity of care
- Monitor service delivery, client satisfaction, and issue resolution
- Develop relationships with referral sources, case managers, and community partners
Medicaid & Billing Oversight
- Ensure compliance with Indiana Medicaid (IHCP) requirements
- Oversee EVV compliance and exception resolution
- Collaborate with billing staff to ensure accurate and timely claims submission
- Monitor revenue, denials, and operational efficiency
Growth & Business Development
- Support census growth through outreach and community engagement
- Identify operational improvements and expansion opportunities
- Assist ownership with strategic planning and scaling efforts
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 3–5 years of leadership experience in home care, attendant care, or healthcare operations
- Strong knowledge of Indiana home care regulations and Medicaid requirements
- Proven experience with staffing, scheduling, and operational management
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions
Preferred
- Experience working with Indiana Medicaid (IHCP) programs
- Familiarity with EVV systems and compliance monitoring
- Prior experience opening, stabilizing, or scaling a home care agency
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field (preferred, not required)
