Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Attendant Care/Companion to provide essential support and companionship to an individual in his home. This role is vital in promoting independence, ensuring safety, and enhancing the quality of life for client. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering personalized care that respects each person's dignity and needs. Duties

  • Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and overall condition, reporting any concerns promptly
  • Support medication reminders following HIPAA guidelines and care plans
  • Prep nutritious meals and assist with meal planning in accordance with dietary restrictions and preferences
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, sanitation, and organization of living spaces
  • Safely transfer individual using a gait belt with mobility challenges
  • Engage client in social activities and provide companionship to promote mental well-being
  • Follow all safety protocols including CPR, First Aid, and emergency procedures to ensure resident safety at all times

Experience

  • Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, and physical disabilities
  • Proven ability to perform patient observation and monitoring with attention to detail
  • Familiarity with home & community care practices, and home health services
  • Ability to lift safely and assist client during transfers using gait belt
  • Strong background in providing compassionate patient care within long-term care or residential settings
  • Working knowledge of vital signs measurement, patient monitoring techniques, and safety procedures in caregiving environments

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
