Head Chef – Premium Clean Food Program (Silver Spoon Mia)

Location: Miami, FL | Full-time | starting $85,000/year (DOE)

Silver Spoon Mia is a premium, All Natural , clean-food delivery concept built around gut health, longevity, and high performance. We deliver fully structured, chef-crafted daily programs to clients' doors — helping them reduce inflammation, feel lighter, and live better without sacrificing pleasure.

We're looking for a Head Chef who is as passionate about wellness and flavor as they are about systems and consistency.

About the Role

The Head Chef will lead our culinary operation from the ground up, owning everything from menu development to daily execution for our flagship 5-Day Deep Clean Program and 3-Day Maintenance Plan.

You will:

  • Develop and refine All Natural, Plant-based, menus that support gut health and low inflammation.
  • Create standardized recipes with clear yields, prep methods, and plating/packaging standards.
  • Lead and train a small kitchen team (prep cooks, support staff) to execute High volume, High Quality with High consistency.
  • Manage daily production for structured programs (e.g., juices, smoothies, soups/salads, and cooked dishes) in line with delivery cut-off times.
  • Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation meet or exceed all local regulations and brand standards.
  • Work closely with ownership on menu costing, portion control, and waste reduction to maintain healthy margins.
  • Collaborate on seasonal menus, special resets, and limited-time offerings that keep the brand fresh and exciting.
  • Coordinate with logistics/customer service to guarantee on-time, complete, and accurate orders each day.

Who You Are

  • A professional Chef with proven experience in one or more of the following:
  • Health-focused / wellness cuisine
  • Plant-based / vegan kitchens
  • High-end restaurants, catering, meal prep, or delivery concepts
  • Deep understanding of ingredient quality, nutrition, and digestion (or strong interest in learning and applying it).
  • Highly organized and comfortable with systems, prep lists, and production planning.
  • Passionate about clean food, gut health, and supporting people's wellbeing.
  • Able to thrive in a startup environment: hands-on, solutions-oriented, and comfortable building operations as we grow.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills; you enjoy training, coaching, and building kitchen culture.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years in a Chef or Senior Sous Chef role.
  • Experience with plant-based / clean cuisine strongly preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of food safety (ServSafe or equivalent certification).
  • Ability to manage a production-style kitchen, not just à la carte service.
  • Flexible schedule, especially during early-morning production windows.
