About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Salesforce Developer to join a long-term project supporting a critical public sector initiative. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying customized solutions for a Child Welfare program on the Salesforce platform. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to translate complex business needs into efficient, scalable, and sustainable technology.

This is a hybrid position requiring on-site work at our client's location in Research Triangle Park, Durham, NC. This is a 12-month contract position with a start date of August 18, 2025.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust solutions using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components.
  • Customize and configure the Salesforce platform to meet specific business needs, including modifying objects, fields, and workflows.
  • Develop and manage integrations between Salesforce and other critical technology platforms, ensuring seamless data flow.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and project managers to gather, refine, and document business and technical requirements.
  • Perform unit testing, system testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality, bug-free code.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all development and configuration activities.
  • Track and manage all development activities using Jira Scrum and Kanban boards.
  • Stay current with Salesforce releases, features, and best practices to ensure optimal system performance and security.
  • Perform impact analysis of new requirements on existing applications and systems.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with Lightning component development.
  • 7+ years of experience developing and maintaining Apex code and Apex Tests.
  • 7+ years of experience with Salesforce integrations of 3rd party applications.
  • 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining Visualforce pages.
  • 3+ years of experience with data migrations from legacy systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience with Copado.
  • 1+ year of experience with Copado Robotics Testing.
  • Experience issuing tickets to Salesforce support.
