Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant/Secretary to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing various accounting tasks while providing administrative support. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills and be proficient in accounting software, ensuring accurate financial records and efficient office operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Perform general ledger reconciliation and bank reconciliation to ensure all transactions are accounted for.
  • Utilize accounting software such as Quicken and Xero to manage financial data effectively.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements as needed.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing correspondence, and organizing files.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth communication and workflow.
  • Handle clerical duties such as data entry, filing, and maintaining office supplies.

Experience

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Proficiency Quickbooks is a plus.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
