Overview Of Role
L.E.K. Consulting is looking for an experienced marketing strategist to join our Global Marketing team to help drive the Firm's growth priorities for our Financial Services (FS) industry sector. The Financial Services Marketing Director is a newly defined position within L.E.K. and will play a critical role within the organization for future revenue growth. The Financial Services Marketing Director will work closely with our Financial Services sector partners to build comprehensive GTM strategies, plans and tactics for the Financial Services sector and its subsectors (e.g. Banking, Insurance, Wealth Management, Payments, FinTech) that enable the firm and individual stakeholders to go to market effectively. This individual will be a key part of the firm's growth engine and will be responsible for working at a strategic level to maximize the likelihood of success against our growth goals for the FS sector.

The Financial Services sector Marketing Director resides within L.E.K.'s Global Marketing Organization, which works closely with leadership and other stakeholders to support L.E.K.'s growth efforts through a full-funnel approach to marketing strategy and execution including brand building, lead generation, and sales enablement activities. This individual will report to the L.E.K. Chief Marketing officer and will primarily work with the three Financial Services lead partners in each region. This individual will work with the partners to establish the sector marketing strategy, lead execution of global programs, and work with the regional marketing teams to develop, build, and execute key marketing initiatives within each region.

The FS Marketing Director will also work to drive innovation (in strategy, planning and execution), foster a client-centric focus, lead data analysis producing insights that influence results, create best practices and build team capabilities. A collaborative approach is essential, as this individual will need to work across multiple regional marketing teams, Business Development, and the Global Centers of Excellence to ensure alignment and to foster a one-firm mindset. While not leading on in-market implementation within the regions, this person will play an important role supporting the activation of plans to enable our sub-sector teams and individual partners to go to market effectively

Key responsibilities of the Financial Services Sector Marketing Director include:

  • Formulate Financial Services sector marketing strategies and plans to achieve goals for the overall sector and for each sub-sector. Ladder Financial Services sector GTM strategies to firm growth strategies.
  • Build effective omni-channel marketing campaigns, employ innovative digital tactics, and achieve campaign engagement and lead gen goals.
  • Work with the partners to define a content strategy and plan; deliver quality content assets to support FS goals across all sub-sectors.
  • Develop Financial Services sector campaign assets, tools, templates, etc. to enable execution in market. Partner with regional marketers to package campaign assets for Financial Services sector revenue generation activities.
  • Collaborate with Financial Services sector partners and other stakeholders to build cross-functional sector/subsector marketing plans that rally the sector around our highest growth priorities. Understand, leverage and lean into sector and key account strategies in building cross-functional sector plans for material impact on overall sector and firm growth.
  • Create tools for stakeholders to effectively leverage themselves and the firm in meaningful, relevant business conversations with Financial Services clients about their needs and our service offerings. Empower them to develop deeper relationships with clients and prospects.
  • Create detailed plans, tactics, timelines and milestones to clearly communicate progress to Financial Services stakeholders.
  • Craft compelling value propositions and story lines for sector go-to-market (GTM) activities, and work with Sales Enablement and account management teams to ensure the messaging, credentials and sales tools for the Financial Services sector adequately portray the messaging.
  • Understand the competitive landscape to best inform industry sector GTM strategies.
  • Use a qualitative and quantitative data-driven approach to measure, analyze, and synthesize actionable insights and disseminate knowledge broadly across cross-functional partners.
  • Recognize potential risks to the success of the GTM strategy and develop countermeasures to mitigate risks.
  • Share updates with leadership regularly.
