Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with strong experience in the wealth management or advisory space. This role serves as the key liaison between business teams and technology partners, helping translate business needs into functional requirements that drive high-quality solutions.

The BSA will support a variety of wealth management initiatives, working across cross-functional teams to gather requirements, document processes, support testing, and ensure successful delivery of enhancements and system capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business and technology teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for wealth management initiatives.
  • Facilitate discussions, workshops, and requirement-gathering sessions with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Translate business requirements into clear, concise functional specifications and user stories.
  • Document current-state and future-state business processes, workflows, and system interactions.
  • Support the full project lifecycle, including requirement management, traceability, and change control.
  • Participate in system testing: create test plans, test scripts, support execution, and document results.
  • Assist with production validation during implementations and system updates.
  • Identify process improvements, gaps, and opportunities for operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with architects and technical teams to ensure solution alignment with system capabilities.
  • Provide status updates, risk identification, and recommendations to project managers and leadership.
  • Develop and maintain documentation such as procedure manuals, user guides, and support materials.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Business Analyst.
  • Experience working in
    wealth management, advisory, brokerage, or investment-related environments
    (required).
  • Strong business analysis fundamentals: requirements gathering, documentation, and process mapping.
  • Solid understanding of investment products, advisory workflows, and operational processes.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction in fast-paced, highly matrixed environments.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to interact across technical and business teams.
  • Hands-on experience supporting testing efforts and validating system enhancements.
  • Experience working in

  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with BA tools (Visio, process mapping tools, requirements management tools, etc.).
  • BA/BS degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
