This position provides clerical and administrative support for the Office of Career Services professional and part-time staff. This position requires knowledge of various types of computer software for word processing, creation of spreadsheets and presentations, making budget adjustments, keeping time, conducting searches via the Internet, communicating via email, scheduling appointments for staff, registering students, alumni, and employers with our office recruitment software system, assisting in the coordination of on-campus interviews, career and job events, and resume referrals. Career Services works with all academic departments on campus to serve the student body.
Current Minimum Salary Rate: $12.03/hour

EXAMS AND LICENSE REQUIRMENTS
No Civil Service test score is required in order to be considered for this vacancy
Applicants must possess a valid driver's license and be able to be certified through the Southeastern Defensive Driving Course
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
One year of experience in administrative services.
SUBSTITUTIONS
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience.

- Any qualifying experience that is based on college credit/hours will require a transcript for verification.
- Any college hours or degree must be from a school accredited by one of the following regional accrediting bodies: the Middle States Commission on Higher Education; the New England Association of Schools and Colleges; the Higher Learning Commission; the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities; the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools; and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
