Administrative Support – Human Resources

Are you an experienced HR professional with a passion for process improvement and stakeholder collaboration? We're seeking an Administrative Support specialist to serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the National Attendance Program (NAP) at a major manufacturing facility.

Details:

Location: Wayne, MI (Onsite)

Compensation: $23/hour

Schedule: Afternoon Shift (Must be available for day, night, and weekend shifts)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure attendance, FMLA, and medical leave policies are administered in line with company policy, contracts, and regulations.
  • Develop expertise in attendance requirements, disciplinary actions, and HR systems for investigating employee records.
  • Audit and update timekeeping codes for various leave types (personal, bereavement, jury duty, military, FMLA, medical, etc.).
  • Publish daily progress and status updates for operations teams and union stakeholders.
  • Conduct meetings and administer corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain all required documentation related to FMLA and attendance.
  • Lead the 10-day quit process and follow up to close out attendance/tardiness items.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for management on attendance policy interpretation.
  • Act as a liaison among operations, union representatives, medical, and labor relations departments.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and improve attendance processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1+ year experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Strong skills in documentation, communication, and process improvement.
  • Ability to work all shifts (day, night, weekend) and fully onsite.
