Job Summary:

Mico's Hot Chicken is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook to join our kitchen team. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality Nashville-style hot chicken and sides, ensuring consistency, speed, and efficiency. You will work in a fast-paced environment where teamwork and attention to detail are key. If you thrive under pressure and take pride in delivering great food, we want you on our team.

Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation & Cooking:
  • Cook and assemble menu items according to Mico's Hot Chicken's recipes and standards.
  • Ensure proper portioning, presentation, and consistency in every order.
  • Maintain speed and accuracy during peak service hours, working efficiently to meet demand.
Kitchen Operations:
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before and during service.
  • Operate fryers, combi oven, and other kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
  • Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout shifts.
Teamwork & Communication:
  • Work closely with other kitchen staff and FOH team members to ensure smooth service.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate orders and maintain efficiency.
  • Assist with restocking and prepping ingredients as needed for the next shift.
Quality Control & Safety:
  • Monitor food temperatures and freshness, ensuring all items meet food safety standards.
  • Report any equipment issues, ingredient shortages, or quality concerns to management.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to food quality and consistency.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Food Handler's Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
