Towing Dispatcher (PART TIME AND FULL TIME POSITIONS AVAILABLE)

We are looking for a reliable Dispatcher to act as a communication point for incoming calls. You will receive requests, transmit messages and track vehicles. The ideal candidate must be primarily an excellent communicator and able to remain calm and composed. You must be able to multi-task as well as take the appropriate action with little supervision. You will also be tasked with releasing vehicles to people who have had their vehicle impounded. There are both full time and part time positions available at $17 an hour plus bonuses. If experienced with

a forklift, it would be nice to have but it is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Receive calls and record significant information
  • Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions
  • Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance
  • Use radio, phone or computer to send tow trucks to appropriate locations
  • Maintain logs and records of calls, activities and other information
  • Release vehicles to people who have their vehicles in the lot

Skills

  • Proven experience as dispatcher or relevant position
  • Proficient in English (oral and written)
  • Proficient in Spanish (Not required, but preferred)
  • Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Active listener with excellent communication skills
  • Sound judgement and critical thinking
  • Forklift Experience (Not required, but nice to have)
  • Some experience in marketing would be nice to have
  • High school diploma
