Regulatory Support Analyst Or Engineer (Legal Department)
Please Note: As per current corporate policy, you will be required to be In the Office at 241 Ralph McGill Blvd, Atlanta, GA four (4) days per week and/or as additionally required.
(If you do not currently live within a commutable distance, you will be required to relocate at your own expense.)
JOB SUMMARY:
Seeking a regulatory support analyst to assist with the preparation of reports and filings made to the Georgia Public Service Commission (PSC), including: new generation project semi-annual reports, monthly reports, data requests and preparation for future filings.
Additionally, this position will support the preparation of Department of Energy (DOE) Loan application(s) as well as reporting and compliance obligations arising from existing DOE Loans.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide Technical Support for GPC regulatory reporting activities as follows:
- Prepare reports and supporting material for construction monitoring reports that are requested by the Georgia PSC.
- Assist in responding to data requests by the PSC.
- Assist with preparation of DOE Loan guarantee application(s) under Title 17 that support energy infrastructure reinvestment.
- Provide ad-hoc support for DOE Loan negotiations.
- Coordination of DOE Loan Guarantee Agreement reporting commitments for Vogtle 3&4.
- Prepare and support ad hoc requests from various stakeholders.

- Strong communications skills - written, oral, listening and presentation are required.
- Ability to communicate (written and verbal) technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with different levels and disciplines of Southern Company.
- Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment, manage multiple demands and priorities.

- Strong communication and organization skills required.
- Background in business, construction management or engineering preferred.
- State/Federal Regulatory experience preferred.
