Summer 2026 Internship Opportunity - Data Scientist Intern

Are you ready to turn data into decisions? CAPITAL Services is excited to offer a Data Scientist Internship for Summer 2026 This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, data-driven environment where your insights can make a real impact.

As a Data Scientist Intern, you'll work closely with our talented Decision Intelligence Analysts and Data Scientists on meaningful projects in the following areas:

  • Risk Analysis
  • Model and Strategy Development
  • Model Validation
  • MIS Reporting

Throughout the paid 12-week program (beginning May 2026), you'll receive a variety of training opportunities to strengthen your skills in statistical analysis and business intelligence. This internship is onsite in Sioux Falls, SD, offering you the chance to collaborate directly with our team and experience our company culture firsthand.

Qualifications:

  • Junior level or higher in Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Strong attention to detail and self-motivation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with tools such as R, SQL, or SAS
  • Interest in pursuing graduate studies in statistics or a related field
  • Successful completion of an analytics or data-focused project
