  • Assists the line leaders in the operation of the production lines.
  • Performs changeovers and wash downs of the lines as required.
  • Assists in ensuring quality and quantity of work produced is maintained according to line standards.
  • Reports maintenance, quality and safety concerns to management and the line leads immediately.
  • Ensures proper materials and ingredients are used.
  • Learns what the line leads are responsible for and serves as a backup as needed.
  • Must be able to lift 75 pounds as required.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift as needed.
  • Adheres to all common safety practices and procedures including the wearing of protective equipment and clothing as required.
  • Adheres to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) as outlined in the Employee Handbook and as per management's directives.
  • Ensures work area is kept clean and orderly in accordance with good housekeeping practices.
  • Responsible for following food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to: GMP's, safety, product quality, food security, plant security, etc.
  • Responsible for coding on the boxes and bags; and ensures product is produced within specs.
  • Checks and confirms that the wheels are chocked in the trailers being loaded.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Freezer's Production Supervisor and/or Lead.
