Job Overview:

This is a full-time Teacher of Spanish position at the secondary level. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for high school students.

Duties:

- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum

- Provide instruction in Spanish levels I and II, and Honors/AP Spanish as needed

- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to create a conducive learning atmosphere

- Assess student progress through assignments, exams, and projects

- Offer academic support through tutoring and academic advising

- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and educational initiatives

- Implement behavior management strategies to support student success

Experience:

The ideal candidate should possess:

- Previous experience in high school teaching or related fields

- Proficiency in curriculum development and implementation

- Strong classroom management skills

- Knowledge of linguistics and creative writing

- Experience in higher education teaching or education administration is a plus

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)

- NJ Teaching certification/license in Teacher of Spanish

- Demonstrated expertise in the subject area being taught

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
