The Pelicans are entering their 27th season in Myrtle Beach. The team played its first season in 1999 and recently signed a new 30-year lease with the City of Myrtle Beach, securing their future in Pelicans Ballpark for decades to come.

Position Description

The Myrtle Beach Pelicans are hiring a seasonal position to assist in food and beverage department. This person will work directly with the Director of Food and Beverage for Pelicans home games and any special events that occur at Pelicans ballpark. Duties to include, but not limited to, all aspects of the food and beverage operation to include unloading trucks, stocking stands, placing orders, working on reports, cleaning, food safety and scheduling. Intern will also work with front office staff and grounds crew to ensure fans a great experience.

Expectations, Duties and Skills:

  • Food and Beverage experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety.
  • Know your way around excel spreadsheets and/or various computer programs.
  • POS experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Cooking experience a plus.
  • Willing to work long hours, weekends and holidays from March thru September.
  • Some Heavy lifting required
  • Works well with others and has good time management skills.
  • Interested in a career in the Food and Beverage industry and or Sports and Entertainment field.

Duration/Compensation

  • This is a seasonal position that will conclude in September.
  • Monthly Stipend
