Garden System Installer and Garden Service Tech - 1099

We are seeking a dedicated contractor to join our Gardening team. The Gardener will assisting in installing and maintaining the beauty and health of our organic vegetable gardens, trees and pollinator gardens. Training Provided.

Compensation: Hourly rate, plus $.65/mi., and toll reimbursement

Duties

- Assemble, stain, deliver and assist with the installation of elevated garden systems for homes and businesses.

  • Needs to be handy and good with a drill.

  • Painting and/or staining experience a plus.

  • Work as a supporting member of the installation team throughout the Greater Orlando Area, including but not limited to; Orlando, Lake Nona, Kissimmee, Windemere, Apopka and Oviedo.

  • Perform various organic gardening tasks such as planting, pruning, fertilizing, pest management and providing gardening education to clients.

  • Maintain and care for plants and fruit trees in gardens
  • Operate and maintain hand tools and power tools used in gardening activities
  • Garden maintenance including trimming fruit trees
  • Irrigate gardens and fruit trees as needed to ensure proper hydration
  • Monitor plant and tree health and address any issues promptly
  • Assist in greenhouse activities such as seed planting and transplanting
  • Support garden operations as required

Requirements

- Liability Insurance Required

  • Good client communication skills and client service

  • Previous experience in gardening or landscaping is preferred

  • Must be able to lift lbs. comfortably

  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems effectively

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Passion for growing and maintaining plants

Preferred

  • Knowledge of plant care, soil types, and gardening techniques
  • Growing experience in gardening and horticulture
  • Proficiency in irrigation systems
