Our client, an award-recognized technology organization operating in a highly regulated environment, is seeking a
Sr Staff Accountant
to support full-cycle accounting, process documentation, and system implementation efforts. This
Sr Staff Accountant
role is ideal for a hands-on senior accountant who thrives in detail-oriented work, asks the right questions, and can operate independently without handholding.

As a
Sr Staff Accountant
, you will play a critical role in strengthening accounting processes, supporting system transitions, and ensuring data integrity across financial and payroll-related workflows. The
Sr Staff Accountant
will partner cross-functionally to document, test, and validate procedures while maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality. This
Sr Staff Accountant

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and test detailed process and SOP documentation to validate procedures and internal controls.
  • Perform full-cycle accounting, including preparing journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
  • Support software implementation and integration efforts by assisting with data mapping, testing, and validation.
  • Build basic analysis and reporting and assist with payroll and procedural integration testing.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field strongly preferred (equivalent experience considered).
  • Senior-level accounting experience with the ability to work independently; strong background in journal entries, reconciliations, and detailed process documentation.
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, standard lookup functions) and strong critical-thinking skills with high standards for confidentiality.
