Production Assistant Manager – Automotive Parts

An automotive parts manufacturing company is actively seeking a Production Assistant Manager to join their facility near Madison, AL.

Responsibilities of Production Assistant Manager

  • Oversee production teams including schedule, staffing, production goals, etc
  • Ensure the products are meeting company standard quality
  • Maintain clean and safe workplace
  • Analyze production costs and inventory to establish areas for improvements
  • Ensure adherence to rules and workplace policies
  • Examine processes and design plans to effectively use available resources
  • Lead/support plans to improve quality systems and facility structures
  • Complete regulatory compliance related documentation & procedures
  • Direct in relation to waste elimination such as plant layout, labor utilization, quality, PPM's, etc.
  • Build and maintain a professional relationship with team member for effective communication
  • Follow all OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, EPA standards for optimal operations for the facility
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications of Production Assistant Manager

  • 3-4 years of experience as production supervisor in the automotive parts production operations
  • 8+ years of experience in automotive parts manufacturing setting
  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Management or related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong leadership skills in team environment and skills to bring positive atmosphere to the team
  • Ability to be flexible to work effectively with wide variety of people and to work responsibly and effectively in a multicultural environment
  • Excellent communication (Speaking, Writing, Reading, Listening) and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task and perform duties time efficiently
  • Team-worker, Detail-oriented, Responsible, Punctual, Self-motivated
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
  • While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
