Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Cashier/Food Portion Server to join our vibrant food service team. Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and take their food orders with enthusiasm and accuracy using POS systems .
  • Handle cash transactions confidently, ensuring precise cash handling and basic math calculations for change.
  • Prepare food portions according to established standards, including assembling ingredients, portioning items, and maintaining food safety protocols.
  • Serve food efficiently while upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
  • Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, sanitizing work areas, and adhering to sanitation standards throughout food handling and service.
  • Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff with basic culinary duties.
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality or safety standards.
  • Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring food safety practices in line with health regulations.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a quick service or fast-food restaurant environment is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with POS systems
  • Background in food handling, serving, or cashiering within the food industry is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during high-volume periods while maintaining excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience working in a café or retail grocery setting can provide valuable skills applicable to this role.
