Job Description
Our client located in Boston, MA has an immediate opening for a Healthcare Application Coordinator to join their team in a remote capacity. The Application Coordinator will work in a highly customized Epic system where nothing is foundation. Working with a well-seasoned team with strong epic technical abilities. The team collaborates well with each other and openly shares knowledge for the betterment of the team. The ideal candidate would benefit and contribute to this culture.

Responsibilities

• Act as part of a team of software application and workflow experts to provide design and build expertise to analyze organization's current business practices and translate them into configurations and workflows, for successful product implementation
• Participates in peer review for quality assurance of team member build, and assists with onboarding & mentoring of new team members
• Works closely with end users to document business requirements, and translates those requirements into functional specifications and/or system build/configuration for the software application
• Develops and executes test plans and performs other software quality assurance tasks
• Provides ongoing support of the software applications by identifying and resolving issues, and escalating as needed for timely resolution
• Provides high quality, customer-focused services
• Runs reports, updates tables and performs other tasks associated with the ongoing operation of the software environment
• Participates in regular team meetings to discuss team activities, issues and updates
• Acts as team delegate/representative at department, project or other meetings, as assigned
• Participates as needed with review of the training curriculum and end user documentation for the applications user community

Required

• Bachelor's Degree required
• 5 years of healthcare information technology experience
• A combination of education and experience may be substituted for requirements
• Must obtain Certification as outlined by program requirements
• Ability to help guide decisions using application knowledge and analysis in a timely fashion
• EpicCare Inpatient Order Certified
• Proven track record in supporting Epic inpatient workflows across multi facility environments
• Able to quickly onboard and effectively manage assignments
• Experience in the development, support or operation of software applications in a healthcare setting
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical staff
• Demonstrated analytic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to learn quickly
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and other popular office productivity solutions

Preferred

• Beaker CP Certification
• Experience with troubleshooting through Order Transmittal
• 5 Years experience supporting inpatient workflows
