As a Trust Administrator Senior with our company, you will provide daily support to a Trust Officer in administration of a book of Trust Relationships. This role includes direct interaction with grantors, beneficiaries, trustees, attorneys, accountants and other parties as directed by the Trust Officers. Responsibilities also include identifying and escalating potential risk issues, adhering to best practices and established controls to ensure efficiency and manage risk. Additional duties involve assisting with the collection of essential documents, preparing disbursements, performing various trust administration tasks and supporting overall fiduciary management and client relationship administration.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administers routine trust accounts under the direct guidance of the Trust Officer, ensuring compliance with governing documents, relevant laws, and the needs of the principals, income beneficiaries and remaindermen.
- Reviews and verifies document analysis to ensure accurate direction; evaluates account completeness and accuracy, processes transactions for approval, and prepares responses to correspondences and client requests in accordance with governing documents, legal requirements and internal policies.
- Collaborates closely with the Trust Officer to develop solutions for client issues such as special distribution requests, fee concerns and beneficiary disputes.
- Responds to client and financial advisor inquiries, address administrative and transactional concerns, and supports the implementation and review of strategies.
- Monitor daily transactions to ensure proper allocation in trust accounting system and tax reporting.
- Monitor and track tax reporting tasks pertaining to book of accounts.
- Assists with the collection of data for various projects and reports which affect the broader business and improves efficiency of delivery of service to clients.
- Actively contributes to the team, providing feedback and best practices.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR ABILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, individual should have the following skills and abilities:
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to multi-task
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Trust system experience
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
- 5-7 years' Trust Administration experience.
