Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Senior Analyst to join our Enterprise Data Governance and Management (EDGM) team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity, security, and effective management of Ally's data assets to support our data governance initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical writing, communications, and strategic planning skills.

The Work Itself

  • Develop, implement, and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures that align with industry standard methodologies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the implementation of data governance policies and procedures across various groups and teams.
  • Lead strategic planning efforts to enhance data governance capabilities and support organizational goals, ensuring alignment with risk and control frameworks.
  • Perform regular assessments of data governance practices to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to identify data governance needs and establish standard methodologies, including integration with Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and risk management frameworks.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with data governance processes and policies.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to teams on data governance issues and best practices.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in data governance to drive continuous improvement.

Skills
The Skills You Bring

  • 3+ years of proven experience in data governance, data management, or related roles.
  • Proven experience in technical writing and documentation within a data governance context.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated strategic planning skills and experience in developing and implementing data governance strategies.
  • Familiarity with data governance tools and technologies (e.g., Alation, Collibra, Manta, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with RCSA, risk management, and control frameworks.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Communications, Mathematics or a related field or equivalent experience.

*Preferred Qualifications:*

  • Experience with data governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK.
  • Experience with risk management tools and technologies (e.g. Archer).
  • Proven experience with RCSA, risk management, and control frameworks.

Base Pay Range
: $ $150000 USD

An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.

Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
