To keep up with our dynamic health care system and our mission of creating a healthier Hawai'i, we have to ensure our finances are equally as healthy. Our accounting department provides the accounting services, expertise and financial support for the lines of businesses across Hawai'i Pacific Health. The department performs general accounting functions (including but not limited to, cash management, balance sheet management, inter-company accounting), internal and external financial reporting, Federal and State tax filing/reporting and other financial services areas (A/R, A/P, fixed assets, etc…). In addition, providing oversight and guidance to other internal departments ensuring compliance with legal/regulatory requirements and consistent application of policies and procedures to maintain the integrity of Hawai'i Pacific Health's finances.
Under the general supervision of the Director of Accounting or designee, supervises and provides technical oversight for Accounting operations in accordance with generally accepted accounting policies. Responsible for ensuring that appropriate controls are in place, confidentiality of financial information is maintained, and that compliance with relevant regulations are met. Coordinates and monitors the activities of Accounting staff to ensure accurate and timely accounting information is being reported.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Five (5) years of experience in public or private accounting demonstrating the responsibility for a significant area of financials (i.e. payroll, accounts receivable, physician benefits, GL operations, etc.), experience working on independent GL related projects, and coordinating the work of others.
Preferred Qualifications: Certified Public Accounting (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification.
