Jonathan Stevens is looking for an experienced truck driver to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner. Time will be split between semi driving and box truck driving.

Job Summary:

Jonathan Stevens Mattress is seeking a skilled and reliable truck driver to join our mattress delivery team. The role involves safely and efficiently transporting goods, with driving time split between semi-trucks and box trucks. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in commercial driving, strong knowledge of regulations, and a commitment to timely deliveries.

Responsibilities:

  • Transport finished goods between manufacturing plants, retail stores, and customers homes.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections for mechanical issues and safety concerns; perform preventative maintenance as needed.
  • Ensure delivery schedules are met consistently.
  • Adhere to all truck driving regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Maneuver trucks safely into loading and unloading positions.
  • Collect and verify delivery instructions and documentation.
  • Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or violations promptly.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Valid CDL Class A license with proven experience driving both semi-trucks and straight trucks.
  • Ability to drive locally for 8 to 10 hours per day.
  • Strong knowledge of truck driving rules, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Clean driving record with no recent moving violations.
  • Ability to adapt and respond to unexpected challenges such as traffic delays and weather conditions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
  • Must be able to lift and carry heavy items (up to 80 lbs).

Pay: $ $22.00 per hour
