The Delivery Driver plays a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction and supporting our logistics operations.
Duties
- Safely operate box trucks or similar commercial vehicles for delivery routes
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques
- Deliver products to customers efficiently while adhering to scheduled routes
- Assist with warehouse tasks including moving inventory and organizing stock
- Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries and pickups
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries professionally
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety checks before and after routes
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations during route driving
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members regarding delivery status or issues
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with route driving expertise
- Strong customer service skills with a professional demeanor
- Experience operating box trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual transmission vehicles
- Ability to lift heavy loads repeatedly and perform physical tasks such as moving and loading cargo
- Warehouse experience is a plus, including familiarity with inventory handling
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to commercial driving and warehouse operations
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; driver's license required
- Ability to navigate efficiently using GPS or route planning tools
- Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatch and customers
This position offers an essential role within our logistics team, requiring reliability, safety awareness, and excellent service skills.
