Duties

  • Safely operate box trucks and commercial vehicles, including manual transmission models, to complete scheduled deliveries and pickups
  • Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols
  • Follow designated routes accurately while adapting to traffic conditions to meet delivery deadlines
  • Provide outstanding customer service by engaging professionally with clients during deliveries and pickups
  • Verify shipment contents against delivery manifests, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine inspections to ensure optimal operation and safety standards
  • Document delivery activities meticulously through logs and reports, including any incidents or delays

Experience

  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with box trucks or similar commercial vehicles
  • Familiarity with route driving, load & unload procedures, and heavy lifting techniques
  • Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of customer service principles and effective communication skills
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission vehicles is a plus
  • Warehouse experience or background in moving goods within storage facilities is advantageous
  • Ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting and moving items safely and efficiently
