At Avidyne, growth isn't limited to our products, it extends to our people and the way we think about finance. In this
Staff Accountant
role, you'll work hands-on across both transactional and technical accounting, while helping refine the processes and systems that support our financial health. You'll execute key accounting activities, manage and improve our accounts payable function, and contribute insights that help shape sound business decisions.
Why Avidyne
At Avidyne, we exist to make aircraft easier to fly.
Our mission—
Simply Flying
—guides both the products we design and the way we work. We build advanced avionics that are high-quality, intuitive, and straightforward to install, helping pilots focus on what matters most.
As a growing mid-sized company, your work will be meaningful, visible, and directly tied to our success. You won't get lost in bureaucracy; you'll see results quickly and have the chance to strengthen the systems and processes that keep us operating efficiently.
What You'll Do
- Perform daily and monthly accounting activities including reconciliations, journal entries, and close processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare financial statements, expense reports, and variance analyses to inform business decisions.
- Own and execute the full accounts payable cycle—from entering and validating invoices to processing payments, managing vendor records, and resolving issues.
- Identify and implement process improvements that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.
- Partner with departments to ensure proper expense coding, cost tracking, and budget visibility.
- Support internal and external audits with schedules, documentation, and explanations.
What You Bring
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including hands-on AP processing and month-end close.
- Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Analytical mindset with an eye for process improvement and efficiency.
- High attention to detail, organization, and accountability.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams.
Bonus Points
- Experience with Oracle ERP or similar enterprise systems.
- CPA designation or MBA in Accounting/Finance.
