As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly organized, experienced, and compassionate Office Manager to join our team and support our day-to-day operations.

Position Overview

We are looking to fill a brand new part time (21hrs a week) position: Director of Operations and Development, to oversee administrative operations, financial processes, staff coordination, develop policies and procedures, and develop fundraising to ensure the sustainability of Bloom's programs. This role is essential to ensuring smooth clinic operations, effective communication with clients and partners, and support for our growing team of therapists.

The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of operations, accounting/financials, and staff management—along with a passion for mental health and fundraising, and supporting a nonprofit mission.

The Director of Operations serves as the chief operations officer of Bloom, reporting directly to the ED and the Board of Directors. The COO provides strategic, administrative leadership, overseeing all day to day organizational programs, operations, and staff. The COO ensures that Bloom's programs are maintained effectively, its resources are managed responsibly, and its mission is upheld in all areas of service and community engagement.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Governance

  • Attends meetings with the Board of Directors, and helps to communicate with staff.
  • Helps to supervise and share control of all business and affairs of the organization in alignment with its mission and values.

Program Development & Oversight

  • Collaboratively, with the ED, develops and implements new programming with appropriate opportunities and availability.
  • Oversees existing programs with the ED
  • Attendscommunity events on behalf of Bloom
  • Collaboratively, with the ED, ensures quality, compliance, and effectiveness of all therapeutic and community-based services.
  • Coordinates with the Executive Director, Director of Clinical and Supervision Services, Office Manager, therapists, and contracted employees.

Human Resources Management

  • Oversees hiring and termination of all employees and contractors.
  • Supports therapists working in Bloom office spaces by managing schedules, rooms, and resources needed for client sessions.

Operations & Administration

  • Manages the physical office space, including the addition of new offices or locations.
  • Orders and maintains office, studio, and event supplies, including promotional materials.
  • Collaborates with external biller on insurance billing and credentialing issues.
  • Works with the external accountant on bookkeeping, payroll, insurance contracts, and annual budget preparation for board approval.

Accounting Responsibilities:

  • Track income, expenses, and checks on monthly financial reports.
  • Deliver monthly reports and statements to the accountant.
  • Prepare the BAITI Annual Budget Sheet for Board review.
  • Reconcile bank statements and track all financial transactions.
  • Deposit checks and manage banking needs in coordination with the accountant.

Fundraising & Community Relations

  • Leads fundraising, donor cultivation, and grant writing efforts to sustain and expand Bloom's programs.
  • Builds and maintains strong community relationships and partnerships, attending events and visiting sites.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in nonprofit leadership, program development, or clinical management (preferably in expressive arts or integrative therapy settings).
  • Strong understanding of mental health services, trauma-informed care, and creative arts therapies.
  • Excellent skills in organizational management, financial management, budgeting, staff management, and community relations.
  • Demonstrated success in grant writing, fundraising, and donor engagement.
  • Licensed mental health professional (LPC, or equivalent) and Art Therapist (ATR, ATR-BC) preferred but not required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30, $43,000.00 per year
