Site Coordinator for Colorado Academic Accelerator Grant

WORK YEAR:

WORK STATUS: Full Time, Exempt

REPORTS TO: Building Principal and District Coordinator

Position Summary

The Site Coordinator for the CO-AAP grant will be responsible for the strategic and project management of the programming in the building. The Coordinator will manage the operational as well as academic aspects of the after school programming and staff. The Coordinator will work closely with the District, building leader, teachers, and tutors to make data informed decisions regarding programming, progress, and aligned family supports. They will collect data from their site and manage reporting responsibikities to the Colorado Department of Education.

Essential Functions:

1) Support the philosophy and vision of Sheridan School District.

2) Create positive relationships with teachers and administrators.

3) Communicate and demonstrate researched-based instructional practices that result in increased student performance.

4) React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

This work includes:

60% Staff development and data driven leadership

  • Analyze data with school and district leadership in order to adjust strategic programming.
  • Train and coach after school staff, including mentoring for high school mentors.

20% Operations and project management

  • Work with tutoring and enrichment providers in order to coordinate locations and timing of services
  • Coordinate with building facilities and transportation for food and transportation needs of students
  • Gather data on attendance and engagement
  • Create or organize data management systems for analysis and reporting purposes
  • Track and report expenses

20% Communications & community engagement

  • Share advertising and programming with school community using existing channels of school communication and innovating new ways of messaging
  • Coordinate and attend quarterly family nights
  • Seek feedback from stakeholders, analyze feedback in order to recommend adjustments. Develop surveys and other tools in collaboration with the Grant Director.
  • Communicate programming needs and coordinate with school leaders
  • Recruit and organize staffing for programming

QUALIFICATIONS:

1) Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university

2) Previous coaching or teacher leadership experience

3) Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills for building an environment with a common instructional focus, promoting initiatives, and conveying expectations.

4) Ability to design and deliver quality professional development for administrators and teachers

5) Demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional manner both orally and in writing

6) Demonstrated strength in organization, communication skills and efficiency in meeting deadlines

7) Demonstrated ability to function as a positive collaborative member of a team

8) Demonstrated interest and engagement in professional learning and reflection

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university required

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions required the following physical demands: some lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling: and signification fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires sitting, walking, and standing. This job is performed in generally a clean and healthy environment.

None

CLEARANCES:

Must clear background check through the CBI and the FBI through Fingerprint submission.

Salary: Salary placement will be on the classified exempt 200 day schedule. This schedule can be found
